Uploading Help

Here is an explanation on how to upload pictures:

Make a new thread by clicking "New Thread" at the top of this forum, or scroll down and click "Go Advanced" in an existing Thread.



-Scroll down a small bit
-Click "Manage Attatchments"



A small screen will pop-up (disable your pop-up blocker if it doesn't)
You will see 3 empty lines with "Browse", and a line where you can enter an URL of where the picture is.
Underneath that you see what files, and sizes are allowed.



Uploading from your PC:

-Click "Browse"
-Go to the correct Folder of where you have put the pictures
-Choose the picture and press "Open"

The name of the picture should now be in the first line.
If you wish to upload more then one, click the other "Browse" button(s)

-Click "Upload" and wait untill that is done.
-Scroll down a small bit in the pop-up screen and click "Close this window"
-Click "Submit New Thread" or "Submit New Reply" and the pictures should now be attachted.

Uploading from an URL (link):

-Enter the URL (link) in the empty line under "Upload File from an URL"
-Click "Upload"
-Scroll down a small bit in the pop-up window and click "Close this window"


-Click "Submit New Thread" or "Submit New Reply" and the pictures should now be attachted.

I personally use http://www.imageshack.us since it doesn't require any membership, you just upload your picture and you're done.

Go into your User CP, Edit Avatar, and in most cases once you have placed your pic in to upload, it will automatically resize. If it doesn't, then do that manually and it will work.

Just post back if you have any further probs.

I'm having difficulty posting new pictures, whenever I try to upload them, it wont allow it because the pictures are too big for the size rules
Does anyone know how to make them smaller?

there is a nice FREE utility called irfanview that lets you resize rotate and adjust color / brightness levels. here is there website http://www.irfanview.com/

if you need any help using it shoot me a pm and i can walk you through it

I find my self using this more than photoshop for the quick rotate and resize of pics
