New Logo Required - $50 Reward

I'd like to get a new logo for the forum - I made the current one myself and have never been overly happy with it.

If any of you have some skills in the design department, I'm offering up $50 to the best accepted logo.

Here's an effort i did with what i have on my hard drive for a new logo for the site.

It is a rough draft of the logo so hopefully i can do more work on it. Let me know what you think.

hehe well it is work in progress after all. figured change up the motto since "show off your big guts" is alright but with a title like BIG GUTS, it is a given that big guts are going to be shown off. :)

I dont have photoshop or anything but what if the "B" and "G" in Big Guts slightly resembled two guts facing each other. I just thought of something off the top of my head. I'll understand if it's too weird.

Sorry I dropped the ball on this. You're right, the "no gut...no glory" is from the Incredables. Sigh, so much for originality. Before we actually work on a design, perhaps we should first agree on a slogan, the design could flow from that. I think the icon, logo type, and subdeck should coordinate. What do you guys think?

Umm... THis is kin dof an old thread, but if it's still open, I'd be glad to give it a shot, and If it's okay with everyone I'd really like to use the idea of the B and G resembling guts facing eachother, and I could also rotate the slogan since there are so many good ones. However, it'd be really confusing if the site had multiple slogans...

I'm on a few messageboards on Vampirefreaks, and some, when they make a new banner, they have everyone in the group vote or a contest to decide on a member's picture to use in the logo. The same thing goes when the group needs a new HTML layout.

I was thinking about making it a very interactive process like that.
Like, make a thread with a deadline where people can post ideas for a slogan. After a deadline, lock that thread and make a poll using the submitted slogan ideas. After the voting has reached it's deadline, lock that thread, and make another deadlined thread with the top-voted pictures and the slogan, and make a contest over who can make the best banner. Lock that thread and create another for voting for the member-created banners. The person who's banner wins the voting gets explicit credit for the banner or something like that.

Okay, make 'Big Guts' a couple of sizes larger while capitalising the 'g' in Guts.

The very first picture with the almost all blue looked the coolest, and I think thats what guts meant.

Actually, the 2nd in post 49 looks good - would like to see the swooshes in shades of blue, and the text.

Having said that, looking at the 1st in the same post, that looks quite interesting.

I may have confused you when I said swooshes - I was referring to the belly type lines on the right :)

Can we drop the new lines, and have the other ones go from light to dark blue - similar to the effect you used going from grey to white.
