Well basically the whole reason (I AM NOT saying this from any experience whatsoever) that the plant is illegal in the first place is because some person obviously had the brilliant idea to smoke it and discovered that it induces a high. The rest of the world caught on and now it is mostly illegal.

The downside is that since it was outlawed, it couldn't be studied for medicinal purposes, which I believe is occurring now and causing some places of the world, such as the U.S., to start legalizing it.

Basically, it was a harmless plant until humanity corrupted it...we seem to do that to a lot of things :D

Do a little bit more research and you'll find that Texas made it illegal to get back at Mexican immigrants for taking their jobs. The Mexicans couldn't afford tobbaco so they smoke a "weed" instead. Texas then pushed the Fed .gov to make it nationally illegal.

Smoking Marijuana is just stupid it damages DNA potentialy leading to cancer, the money that is spent on it leads to the deaths of thousands in the Mexican drug war, and its just plain illegal. (federally and in many states)

I did experience my friends smoking MJ so i know how it looks like.

But I did not like it anymore so I quit for about 10 years.

I've smoked it a little bit now and again, probably a few times a year at most. I think it's like alcohol in that occasional use is perfectly harmless - what rational person objects to having a glass or two of wine now and again? - but sometimes you see people drinking or smoking weed all the time who waste enormous amounts of money and their own time doing nothing but sitting on their asses pissed or stoned out of their brains.

In other words, everything in moderation, nothing to excess. (Except fat, of course, which it isn't possible to have an excess of.)

well i got so many anxiety replies on public forums, that I decided to grow MJ myself. I am having some pretty decent plants outdoors now.

before of that, i didn't smoke any MJ for more than 10 years.

never tried marijuana, and i never want to, however I do want it to be legalised (though even then I would not try it).
This is because someone close to me had to have Chemo, and he said it helped cope with the pain. If it can help cope with pain then surly they should do more research into it for medicine?

Well, one time my friend was high with me at the boardwalk. (I wasn't high, but many people in my group of friends were) And he got paranoid or something and somehow mistook a 4/5-year-old kid for a midget trying to fight him. So he slapped the kid in the face and made him cry. It wasn't a hard slap. But it still made the kid cry.

So much incorrect research being thrown around here. Modern cell phones and radiation causing cancer has yet to be proven. Not enough accepted research has been done on marajuana because it is illegal and is inconsistant to have the effects proven empirically.

What we do know:
*smoking is bad
*smoking cigarattes is worse than smoking marajuana, assuming there is nothing else in there.

Seeing as this is a place for gainers, you probably do more damage with vein clogging lard and sugary soda.
