I hate the noise of guys clicking their fingernails on a table, keyboard, etc. It's horrid. So I agree, cut them!

I try to keep my nails relatively short... it especially annoys me when I'm playing the piano and my nails click on the keys. GAH!!!! When that starts happening, I know it's time for a trim :rolleyes:

I agree with everyone on this post. The only, ONLY, time a guy can have long fingernails is if you play a guitar or like instrument. Haha and sorry, but it's still gross even then.

I usually don't clip my nails, but I have a nervous habit that makes me just chew them down to a reasonable length.

I've always had finger nails that grow quickly, and always have white tips on them. If you don't, then they're pretty darn useless and feel uncomfortable. Just keeping them clean and extending no further than the rest of your fingers is the rule to play by.

Agreed. However, my nails can't be cut beyond the white part - they're fully attached to the skin there. So a small sliver of the white part is what I keep - a quarter centimeter is when I absolutely must clip them.

When I used to be in school, I sat next to a guy that didn't cut his nail. Everytime I looked at him I had to look at his long yellow nails by impulse. :(

Ugg I used to work with this guy, he always kept one nail really long to open things with (cd cases, shrinkwrap) but it was SOOO long, like chick length. It always bothered me, sometimes he'd scratch a bug bite or something with it and it would make this gross scratching noise.
