Okay so here are a few things I've been thinking about and I wanted some of you guys opinions.
1. Everyone throughout my school career has thought I'm ugly, fat, etc.
It's had quite an impact on my self-esteem lately. Considering in my eyes gay and bi men truly know what looks good what do you guys think? Please be honest!

2. Secondly, I'm currently going out with this girl...I'm bi...But there's this guy, Mark Meyers...He's 'SuPeR dElIcIoUs' in my opinion. He's thin with a little bit of a belly, tan, smooth, has great hair and a great smile...All the things I don't have.....I'm overweight (even though I like it...he doesn't), my hair is naturally curly(which I don't like so I straighten it), I'm not smooth, kinda hairy but not like a wolf or anything...and I'm also pale...I really like this guy more than anyone I ever have before and I keep dreaming about him. I'm just scared that If I tell him he'll be grossed out because of the way I look...Oh, if you haven't guessed already...he's gay.
3. Last but not least, do you guys think it's safer to come out to my mom after I move out? I'll never tell my dad though he's a hard-core christian and has promised me that If I ever ended up liking guys I wouldn't wake up the next morning.
Anyway, if you made it this far thanks for reading...Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

I'm going to have to agree about the hair. You really could benefit from a new 'doo bro. As for being pale and hairy, they have tanning beds and trimmers for that ;)
In reguards to the coming out part, you gotta do that when you're ready to and not any sooner. Remember, it's gotta be for you and not for or because of anyone else.

My hair doesn't actually look like that....I said I straighten it. It usually ends up curling inward at the tips giving it the stupid mushroom look...Dx
Also I was just planning on getting laser hair removal because it gets rid of the hair permanently...How long do hair removal cremes keep hair away for?
Also @Matsuo I do ignore people that call me fat because I like being the size I am and obviously want to get bigger. :)

Well I am looking for a new hairstyle but I'm not sure what would look good and what would not....I thought about something like:

I'm terrified that if I show my hair stylist that that she'll screw it up though. :(

Matsuo do you know the answer to my question about hair removal cremes? Just curious. :)

Laser hair removal isn't permanent. It only lasts about 3-6mo on average and you need to have it done again. As for hair removal lotions, they are a chemical agent and depending on your skin you can be prone to chemical burns and ingrown hair. I find trimming close with a bread trimmer about once a week to be the most effective method for me as I always get ingrown hairs and razor burn when using a razor.
The Brian Kinney look is hot though :p

How is trimming / removing body hair any different from getting a haircut? Or shaving?
I don't know about laser hair removal, but I have used Nair a couple of times on my belly and it worked fine. It's not permanent of course, but it does completely remove the visible hair and you don't see any regrowth for a couple of days or so , depending on how fast the hair grows (although you can feel it straight away if you run your hand over your belly). Try it out and see what you think of it; the creams are relatively cheap. Make sure you do a test area to make sure your skin doesn't react badly.
I straighten my hair sometimes too, and if it's been a while since I've had a haircut it can start to look like yours; the answer is styling products! Don't sweep it down completely over your forehead because it can look pudding-basin like; maybe you could arrange it to show your ears a bit too so that it has a more interesting shape. You could try sweeping it sideways at the front (making sure to show forehead and possibly hairline) and then messing up the back and sides a little, or something. Experiment!
...or you could just get a haircut. Make sure the stylist knows you straighten your hair so that she cuts it with that look in mind.

Oh yeah, chances are that Mr. Mark Meyers has put a great deal of effort into looking the way he does. Clothes, hair, tan etc don't just happen by themselves (on the whole)!

You don't look bad, IMO, but everyone has their own taste.
Pale and hairy can be good (but again, it's subjective).
Maybe you should go skin head neo-nazi bald? Sometimes the best hairstyle is no hair... worked for me anyway.
Oh, and I wouldn't tell your mother 'till you're out of there. I kinda got the same thing going on, except my pops isn't hardcore christian... he's too lazy for that.
Virginia sucks! glad I'm getting out of this shithole

Nair/Veet works fine removing body hair.. but sometimes it doesn't do a very good job, you have to make sure its applied really evenly and not too liberally. It keeps the hair away for about a month before it goes back to normal.. maybe 2mths for your first time.
You. I looked reasonably similar to the way you look at the moment (even the same clothing style and everything), but I've always had a really positive attitude about my body. I'd suggest trying to develop a positive attitude, somehow.. its hard sometimes with the haters, but I mean like you shouldn't be gaining if you have low self esteem.. will only worsen stuff. :p
Secondly, very natural to have crushes on guys during high school xD - Unfortunately you can't always get the guy you have a crush on.. fact of life. Maybe be friends with him?
Change your hair.. maybe put some highlights through or it do a two tone thing.. and style it. Its annoying I know (I'm slack with mine too, again mine looked pretty similar to urs during highschool but darker, and generally longer).. but I'd cut it a bit shorter. It makes a lot of difference.
Also, eww at the above suggestion to go no hair.. just no thx. I think u look cute at ur current weight.. but as above, definitely time to change the hair. :) can make a big difference.. I know it has for me (due for another cut, and some crimson highlights too soon ^_^ - I swear im not emo lol)

Longer hair styled like your tends to work better on people with slimmer, angled faces. To show you an example my buddy Elfstone used to have longer hair that worked fine when he was in the 140s. When he got into the 170s he was complaining that his face was getting too "fat" and that he didn't like it, I told him to cut his hair shorter and style it appropriately and it definitely made a huge difference. Showing more forehead makes the face look longer and thinner as well as cutting hair shorter on the side.

Your current hair-style is making your face look like a round circle instead of an oval. Shortening the sides and showing more forehead will improve your look 110% IMHO. Just quit being reluctant to change and go to a stylist and try it out (I recommend male stylists for certain reasons that I can explain if needed). If all else fails, you can grow it back out to what it's like now. If you don't like big change just cut it a little at a time going shorter each time until you find a style/length that you like.

I've always been partial to short hair on a man. Short hair generally also means no need for styling products which I like cuz I love running my fingers through my guy's hair.

I haven't washed my hair in about 3 years. I don't have enough to even bother.

Excuse me, Strider, but I haven't said anything so how am I being reluctant?
My cousin is spending the week with me for spring break so were going to try different hair styles that don't require cutting tomorrow. :)
@those who have said I'm cute, look good, what have you, Thank you. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to hear that. :)

Oh, no you didn't! *Z-snap*
Listen, don't get pissy at me because I'm not telling you what you want to hear. And yes, you are being reluctant and you've even admitted to it in your latest post. You can't change your current hairstyle without at least cutting or layering (or whatever, I'm no hair dresser). Don't come onto the forum asking for advice if you don't want to hear it
