why is everyone so obsessed with Twilight? personally, i hate it.

I read literally half the book, and was going to attempt to finish it before the movie but then I got dragged to going to the movie. From what I read, it didn't follow the book at all. I really don't understand why people are so obsessed with it. It's a nice story, girl falls in love in a vegetarian Vampire... lol

Haha yeah. I went with my two friends to go see the movie and one of them was like this reminds me of the Harry Potter pheneomia and my other friend was like all silent and made the face like no you didn't! It's kind of an obsession I guess. Everyone has the TShirts and movie stuff it seems at my college :/

Do not taint the name of The Golden Compass by bringing it into a thread about Twilight! Twilight is the worst series to have become as popular as it is. I don't understand how such manure gets marketed.

I think Stephen King put it very well. He pointed out how terrible a writer Stephanie Meyer was, but did admit that a lot of the content of the book appeals to adolescent girls. Personally I do find it annoying when some badly-written generic book becomes a best seller. *coughcough*DaVinci Code!*coughcough*

Too bad Stephen King hasn't written anything decent in years. He used to be my favorite author and I still love most of his work, but nothing he's put out as of late has really intrigued me.

But yea, I ****ing hate Twilight.
