I was looking for xbox game that not even the game stores had. Yet Wal-Mart had. I don't see how that is even possible. Gaming stores for really going down the drain. At least the ones in my neck of the woods. Anyway the moral of the story is (If Wal-Mart can't do it no one can)

Chain gaming stores like EB/Gamestop tend to suck these days as they charge the highest price for everything.
I'm always willing to support local chains or stores though if the prices are still reasonably good, and the service is nice/staff is friendly.
I never shop at EB though, yet again I'm not really a gamer anyway (Don't own any consoles).

Yea, I don't really buy games these days, it's hard to find N64 games, unless it's at a yard sale.

Wal-Mart is basically the antithesis of that where I live. They carry the biig titles, sure, but they always seem to be the last in getting even those, and almost all of the cool niche titles (Opoona, for example) slip through the cracks.
I suppose it really comes down to location and management?

I refuse to support Wal-Mart on principle. I don't care if they have the lowest prices.

I don't buy video games that often but I do remember that if it's a new major release you want to get (and not some weird niche Nippon Ichi game ot whatever) then get yo' ass over to Walmart. It's were you'll find the best price for it. Seriously. Their price for new games is usually five or ten dollars less than Gamestop, IIRC.
Your next best bet after Walmart would be Best Buy. I would only go to Gamestop for older, used, or rare games. (The best deals for vidya games seem to be online, though who the heck wants to wait that long? Not me!)

Well, I generally buy my games at K-Mart, or Sears, but I get a discount so I'm bias.

I love going to 24hr stores at odd hours in the moring. You get to see all the freaks and weirdos. My favorite time to go grocery shopping is around 3AM. It's too early to be night but it's too late to be morning. The store's always hushed and quiet. Muted.
It's nice. You'll see strange people in their pajamas, addicts, and the occasional hobo. They're always buying the weirdest things, too. Like waffles and glue. Or ice cream and fabric softener. Except for the potheads. All they buy is junk food. :x

I work at the higher class brother of wal-mart, Sam's club.
If you consider buying toilet paper in bulk high class of course.
