I recorded myself sight singing cuz i was bored haha. Umm there's a lot of text message sounds and MSN IM sounds because my boyfriend and other gainers can't shut up for two seconds haha. So yeah here's me singing 2 songs:
Me (as Gaston) - Beauty and the Beast: The Musical
On The Street Where You Live - My Fair Lady
Give me some feedback :) Besides the fact that these are baritone songs and I'm a tenor haha. My low range sucks so I'm trying to improve it before I go to college. Or you know, whatever. Criticize me if you like, I'll take it. Promise.

You have a good voice. :) I like it, you have a lot of talent.
However, there is a lot of room for improvement. Especially in the Gaston song. I'm just not feeling you as Gaston - you need to project more egotism, more manliness. Much more manliness. We're talking manly, here. During the song, your tone wavered a little, and you sounded a bit effeminate. There is a reason that song is Baritone, and that is manliness. Try singing more confidently, and lower for that song. See, for broadway you don't just have to be able to sing, you have to act during your singing. Stay in character even in the middle of a medley. Crack that, and you're gonna be in the limelight.
Not much else I can offer you, really. You have a good voice, but that alone won't get you to broadway. You also need a lot of stamina. Heh. x3

I see what you mean about the feminism. And I DO have a lot of stamina ;) i tested it haha. I couldn't get the character of Gaston because I'm not even close to playing him. I'd NEVER play him in a million years haha. But hell, I'm better than that sad excuse for an actor whoever is the understudy for Emmitt on Legally Blonde. One more thing. I don't think you saw, i was sight singing. lol. I know there's room for improvement. Not getting angry, just tellin ya.

You've deffinately got a good shot at broadway.
As an actor who doesnt sing, Im jealous, it seems that the best way to get into movies and such is to be on broadway first, but I dont like musicals for the most part (excepting some, I mostly hate how they seem to always end happy).
I wish I could sing. ugh. haha Im playing Friar Laurence in Romeo and Juliet currently. After Romeo and Juliet, with the way we cut it, the Friar and Nurse are the largest roles in a way. I was in the runnings for Romeo, but alas, my good buddy got it, hes pretty good, and the girls love him, so hes suited to it.
Anyways, theres always room for improvement, maybe try a song more suited to you in terms of character.

I didn't know what sight singing was. I don't think it should matter if you're doing something without a deadline, and to show off the capabilities of your voice, practicing something like that at the same time isn't a good idea. x3
(I can't read music, though, so I sing completely by ear :3)

Personally, I think that you have very great potential. I've been singing for while, and will be auditioning for "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" as William Barfee. So I know a lot about vocal technique. I think you should work on: Like Gaston- Don't be too operatic for the type of character of Gaston, a little to nasally, and you should work on your breathing techniques.
I'm just here to make you the best that you can be.
P.S.Your an awesome person! ;)

OK, as i start this, just want to give feedback on your comments. I'm not angry.
I was imitating the Disney Movie rendition, which is operatic, and AGAIN i must say, I hate Gaston and don't fit his character i realize that, and it's a lower range than i'm comfortable with.
Umm and auditioning for something, was that supposed to be noteworthy? lol. Cuz I mean like, American Idol, for instance, you don't have to have talent to audition...:P
And...I'm pretty sure I wasn't singing nasally...I listened to it and it all sounded chest voice.

I'm just examining my voice to determine whether its broadway material, not to fit this role as i've explained...

hey um.... well you have a GREAT voice but it still sounds verry yound. I think you should audition for some non broadway stuff first because i dont think you are quite ready for a major part like gaston. But i think you could get in a broadway show as a more minor role!!! keep up the good work and you will be there in no time!!!! You still are amazing. And i totally understand about you wanting to give up g aining for this, i have not been able to gain to much becaue i am trying to get into tv

i'm glad to here you dont want to be gaston ( i hate that part) but for 18 you do have a good voice i hope you do well in this feild:D and if they turn you down a couple of times dont give up.
you can do it:D
though i have never auditioned for broadway i have auditioned for tv and stuff and something i have found helpful is i allways try to make the people i do it for laugh.

You're talented but there's a lot of talented people waiting for a chance too. You need hard work to reach the top. The question is, are you ready to go all the way?

-claps-!! You have a very good voice. There are better songs, though, that could do it more justice. At points, it seemed like the part was too low for you. Of course you could always move it to a different key.
Out of Disney characters, you seem more of a Simba or Aladdin. The evil characters and assholes all seem to be baritones or lower - Scar, Jafar, Bagheera, Gaston, Frollo, Radcliffe. The only exceptions being characters like Baloo, Pumba, Mufasa...because you can't picture them as tenors.
Tangent"
At least you're not me - female tenor: all the "contralto" voice parts are old women, hags, witches, and men. FOR ONCE! LET ME BE PRETTY!
