I've had a chair recently break while I was sitting on it,and it was a rather interesting sensation too. I guess I've become too fat for the bluelight chairs.

Those plastic chairs give in pretty easy. There should be an area where you big guys can show your Feats of Fat, or something like that

My step dad broke a plastic chair the bag legs snapped right out from under him. Guess the chair couldnt handle his big belly! Next time any of us break things we can send in pics of the broken stuff and we can put it in a "hall of broken things" or something like that.

I have a regular tailor who fixes all my numerous wardrobe malfunctions. I have bent many folding chairs to the point of uselessness. Darn flimsy welding jobs!

Yeah when I was at home I bent down to find a nice shirt and my underwear got ripped apart:D Maybe it doesn't have anything to do with a gut or fat...

The wooden slats that hold up the matress went out when i sat on the bed. If that helps any.

Once a few years ago I broke my friend's rocking chair. I was so embarrased at the time, but now I feel kinda proud! :D

My in-laws had had these plastic chairs for years, and I broke one. Wasn't just the back legs, it was all four. Everyone had a good laugh, but nobody thought about a camera.

I broke the back on the driver's seat in the car. That flimsy plastic support snapped in half. I also broke the back on one of the dining chairs leaning back after a big meal. My couch and mattress are pretty much collapsed and needs replaced.

I've broken a wooden stool, a plastic chair, a fold-out chair, a bunk bed and a park bench. 300 pounds dude + anything with legs = Disaster. :D

I dunno if this really counts as breaking, but when I sit in this computer chair, it squeals and creaks and makes teh worst racket if I move.

Hmm.. i think if you gain a little more, it will just give up sooner or later :)

Well, I haven't broken a whole lot of stuff, but i've broken some clothing... like two pairs of size 32 pants... i wear 36's... i popped the buttons of both of them. And i found a really old button up shirt that i used to wear when i was skinny... ripped it, unfortunately; no popped buttons on that :( Oh well

Guess when i get really big, i'll have to try on my current clothes and see how "well" they fit then!

Many years ago when I was still wearing boys' sized clothing I totally ripped a pair of boxers I was wearing when I sat down. Also when I was at a hockey tournament for the U.P. finals (U.P. is short for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for those who don't know) I popped the buttons on the pants I was wearing before the game. I guess I had a few too many double cheeseburgers.

I have a cousin who when he hit about 280, he started breaking things....2 toilet seats, a wooden chair, stuff like that.

blackraven82
20th July 2006, 05:44 AM
Both seats were the original ones- not wood but the cheap ones. Replaced with solid wood..no more problems.

it's been a while since I posted.

Let's see... since my last post i've killed 2 pairs of size 46 jeans, worn out a pair of 50's, broken a desk chair and totaled a folding chair.

Does wearing out clothes count as breaking?

gooseface
21st July 2006, 06:22 AM
If they tear on you or something than I think it would count.

FatMike
21st July 2006, 11:17 AM
I would think if you physically broke another object, its the only way that counts. People (Not mentioning any names) sticking on clothes they wore when they were 10 or 11 and busting out of them for the sake of doing it like we've seen before in pics shouldn't count as "breaking" stuff.

I think Gooseface and Boochan are both right. Wrecking clothes [or anything else] deliberately should not count but cases like Gryboy's swimming shorts should.

I've remembered a couple of breakages that happened to me but in fairness I can't put them down to gaining. A long time back the driving seat of my car gave way under me - gosh what a heap of junk that was - and a few years ago it happened to me in an old railway carriage. No permanent damage there though.

That's what I meant to say. :) Accidental things with your normal clothes.

I've broken a cheap used couch before. Sat down a little too quick and felt something give, along with a *thunk*. I pulled the couch away frome the wall to see what gave, and sure enough, there was a part of the wooden frame sticking out the back. Left a dent on the wall, too. :(

Well, I've managed to burst out of the seats of my favorite pair of jeans, and a pair of jean-shorts (and, no they WERE of my correct waist size). I don't like weraing things that are too small. But both of these should have been big enough, I guess my butt's too fat or something
