I used to have lower back pain but since lifting weight, strengthening my back muscles, I'm virtually pain free. Now getting a belly pain is another thing but it's from overeating....haha

Well I have knee pain but that isn't from my belly. I used to play baseball, and let me tell you sliding hurts. lol. Also I was the pitcher. So I twisted my legs alot, it helped me gain muscle in my legs. So most of my weight is upper body, I dont have much fat on my legs. But baseball did a number on my knee.

Well I keep active, mostly a little dancing, and that keeps me pain free.

I don't suffer from any of those, but i do have a problem finding pants that fit and running. My gut's doing great, now that i'm between 280 and 285.

See a doctor.
I, personally, had ass pain, until I got fat. I cracked my tailbone (or something) when I was six and it hurt me all the way until I was twelve, when I breached the 180 pound point. lol.

So does anyone care if it isn't fat or belly related?
This IS general discussion... And to ALWAYS talk about fat and gaining on this site gets to boring too...

While I havn't really gained much to gte knee pain, I put it down. My bag for school weighs 25-30 pounds, and my knees hurt all the tiome now. ONe of them locks up too. It sucks.

I had a little back pain, as I picked up 20 pounds real quick. It was lower back, but that's pretty much gone now, so I have to say, I'm not suffering from any of the listed items at the moment.

My bag for school weighs 25-30 poundsBe sure your bag is a sensible choice for carrying that much weight.
Ie. Something you sling over one shoulder with that much weight probably not a good thing.
If you're already using a backpack, make sure you fit the straps appropriately, and if it has a waist strap (and it reaches around :) ) ... use it..
If that fails, considered a flight-crew style "carry on" type bag with wheels and telescoping handle?
If you have no choice in using a bag that has to go on one side or other, alternate the sides..

You your school lockers to put the books in you dont need to make homework, but you do need the next day.. so you wont have to carry them along. ;)

A rolling backpack is social suicide.
I'd use the lockers, but here's the problem: our school lockers are exactly ten inches cubed. When they built the lockers, the books were all nine inches square. However, we now have books that are 14 inches tall, or short but 11 inches long, etc. So lockers are out for me. Add to that the fact that we have just six minutes between classes and that the campus is about half a mile in all directions from the centre, not counting the PE district...you just don't have time. Putting books in at lunch is out of the question; there are 3000 people at the school, and only about fifteen places to buy food (that's 200 people per stand). Lunch is fourty minutes long. If you don't get out of your class early there's going to be a huge line.
In summary:

Yeah I have a two shoulder bag thingy. lol The locker thing wouldn't really work too well cause my locker is on the otehr side of school then my classes. But Wednesday and Thursdays I leave some books at school. We have 'Block Days' where we only have half of our classes. Wednesday I only have Spanish, Study, English, and Art, so I only bring one book unless my english teacher says we need our books. So it ain't that bad the last few days. Mondays the worst cause I;m really tired. lol

we have block scheduling too! Just thought I'd say that...
My book bag weighs like 15 lbs
According to our school, the weight of your bag should not exceed 1/3 of your body weight. For me that's 110 pounds!

Then again, they're talking about normal people, who are relatively muscly. When you get really fat you gain some muscle and a lot of fat. So for a weight-to-muscle ratio, you're actually weaker, but you have a lot of weight so you have momentum (or lack of), and so you're hard to stop...or start.
I think.

no major problems. though as a former swimmer, i'm surprisingly buoyant these days. not to mention the fact that my old speedos are a wee bit tight....
i am, however, much lazier than i was before i gained the weight. an old friend of mine who i hadn't seen since i was 145-150 (and much more muscular) and i had a race a ways back. he was amazed how winded i was. got poked in the belly a few times after... :)

Some people drink beer to help them gain. The liver filters alcohol and whatnot and excess amounts can be harmful, i.e. liver problems :).

So my school, if the classes are roughly the same size, has about 1200 give or take.

Haven't had any of those problems despite being 240 now and older than I either feel or look. But late in 2005 I suddenly got a really bad infection of the right kidney that caused the docs to yank it out. (The other one is doing just fine, thank you, per all the frequent tests.) It apparently was trigged by a glucose imbalance but they still can't explain the infection. Despite the advancements in medical science over the years, the official diagnosis from the surgeon was "Shit Happens"! Can you believe that? So I tend to listen well to but then take with many grains of salt or whatever, any suggestions that I should lose weight and not enjoy my fatness.

I don't how the hell my reply got erased but this is mine again.
I used to suffer form a lot of backpain. This backpain kicked my ass and screwed up my schiatic nerve. I was out of work for two weeks and couldn't due much but lay down. To the extreme that i couldn't walk. I had to borrow my grandma's walker to help me attend to my toiletier necesities.
There was no medication to help aleviate the pain. I was taking 1 800 mg motrin pill but they were useless.
I spent a shit load of money going to a therapist for a year and a half but the pain persisted. Decided to take a different route and went to an acupuncturist and he made be better in three sessions. I had all these needles in my belly and face-to the point that i fell asleep on the table.
I still suffer from some moderate backpain but i've been able to handle it.
No knee problems yet-I'm hoping never to deal with it either!

I have major knee problems, since I passed 350, so I avoid walking as much as possible, never climb a stair and absolutely never jog or run. But I love my size so its worth it.
I also have fatty liver , according the doc, but thats mainly because I am fat, not from drinking, even though i have a few beers every day.
