I guess I should answer my own questions!

Why do you want a gut in the first place? I feel strong and powerful with a gut. I love the way it protrudes out from in front of me, no way to hide it from view. My dad has a big gut and I want to be bigger than him.

How serious are you really? (come on now...be honest) I've been serious since before the 2004 holidays. I've grown tired of dieting, beating my brains out at the gym for the "perfect body". I still believe in being healthy, nothing greater than a huge healthy gut.

What the hottest reason for having a big gut hanging from your bod? My wife loves to lay her head on it. She also rubs it constantly. She fairly trim so I think she likes the fact that I'm bigger than most guys...gut wise anyway.

Do you like gaining alone? Do you like gaining with other gainers? I really don't like gaining alone. I'd love to find local gainers who are into massive eating binges and mutual feeding.

If you could gain any amount of weight just by wishing it, what would you wish? (oh ya...no returning to your "normal" weight) I'd go for an even 500#. I would still be mobile at that weight. And if I keep up my weight lifting, the weight shouldn't be a problem for me to handle without discomfort.

Do you like to show of your gut in public? (no shirt or very tight shirts) I go around the house and yard without a shirt (got a great tan going). I don't wear a shirt at the pool or beach. Otherwise, it's fairly reveling tank tops. My dress shirt are all tailored so that my form shows, not to tight but not to baggy.

1. Can't say that I necessarily wanted it, it just happened...then again who am I kidding. Watching what I ate meant seeing the food as I put it in my mouth.

2. Wouldn't call it serious. What happens happens.

3. It makes a nice plate shelf when eating on the couch. The love handles make a nice resting place when carrying packages. The softness does make body rubs more stimulating.

4. Wouldn't wish more than 10 pounds. I want to stay active and somewhat healthy.

5. Wouldn't say that I gain on purpose, just eat what I want, when I want.

6. Don't show off without a shirt. But then again, can't hide it under a shirt any more. Even the loose shirts can't hide the pot belly and lovehandles.

It's pretty cold around here right now, so I'm not usually shirtless unless I'm in the house, but I also haven't been able to keep up with my growth as far as my clothes are concerned, so I usually end up in a slightly too small shirt anyway.

I wnted to be a well bellied man around 5 years old , my dad used to go shirtless with his football coach friends -nice ballbellies and also take me with him to Colonial Palms a driving range where I first saw huge bellied men - in those 1970's sansabelt pants.

30 pounds, because that would get me almost to my initial goal of 225 ... then we'll see from there. Not sure I'd want to just "wish" myself to 250 so soon.

Not really. My wife is pregnant right now, so she's gaining albeit not of her own free will ... she was fairly big before, but each pound she puts on just makes her that much sexier.

(See above) Like I said, each pound my wife gains through her pregnancy just makes her sexier (it is a huge turn-on!). I'm trying to match her gain pound for pound with my own.

I'm 5'11", and have always been a thin kid. I feel stronger and better with more weight on me. I work out, so I still have some muscle in my arms, but I like the presence of the extra weight, and I like the softness, jigglyness and the looks of a large pot belly, on a girl or a boy.

[B]How serious am I? It's not my first priority, but it's moving along. I've gained 20lbs this year so far, without a lot of effort. Just drunk a lot.

I love the looks I get, as I have a fairly thin body still, except for my big belly. I love going to a counter, and buying something to eat with my pot gut sticking way out over the edge of the counter. Clerks look at me like, "you sure you really need this?". Once in a while, I'll have someone comment, "Nice belly you have going there". It's a trip! I also am going to physical therapy right now, and have a young woman Dr. working on me. 1. Wanted it for quite a while, but when it actually happened, it was almost accidental... really became noticable when I had a broken leg and couldn't exercise but still ate the same. As to why, not really sure, why does anybody want the things they want? All I know I was glad when it happened, though had to hide it because was in the military, but when I got out was free to just let it go.

2. Fairly... quite often will try to make it bigger on purpose, but how serious I am waxeds and wanes on ocassion.

3. Well refer to question 1... just cause, I guess, don't know why I like it, I just do.

4. Probably no more than 500 at the very most, but would like to get there the slow way... if it had to be instant wouldn't want more than 300 all at once. Would like to be fairly big without impacting mobility and overall health too much.

5. Often try to gain on purpose, but usually have a rather large appetite anyway. If I always had the opportunity to eat as much as I wanted, gaining would probably be pretty wasy, but time and money constraints usually keep my weight fairly stable, thouh can get it to climb a little on ocassion.

6. Neither make much of an effort to show it off nor hide it. Just wear normal clothes. Usually like wear loose fitting clothes anyway, but not so loose my gut's hidden to any degree.

First off, I haven't quite figured out whether I want it on me, my bf, or both. On me, it somehow feels (or I imagine it would) solid, safe, assertive & sexy. Taking up my own space etc. Plus, when it's full there's a huge erotic component for me. On someone else, I would like a small, round, solid (i.e. not too flabby) 'beer' belly that can expand when filled ...

Deep down, serious. But since I have some lingering issues with this body acceptance / food / control thing (I used to be bulimic), I tend to second-guess my feelings & motives and then try to ignore this urge for months/years, until it suddenly comes back.

Around 220, but the proportions would have to be different than my body actually managed to deliver the two times I gained 'seriously'. Unfortunately I erased the photos I took at the time, but maybe I'll draw a fantasy image for you guys at some point.

I've never known any other gainers. As mentioned above, my fantasy would be to be in a relationship that's maybe less about gaining and more about belly expansion (though I suspect I have both a feedee and an encourager streak in me).

Not like I could really stop it since the best food the cafeteria had was pizza, and the meal exchanges were all junk food. Just as an aside, no one is ever able to return all the way to their "normal" weight after gaining, are they? Losing weight after my second gain, I ended up 20 pounds heavier than before any gaining (170 pounds vs. 150). This is a good thing!

I also have many memories which all start when I was 10, I remember me and my two friends were in the library and this one kid was talking about how muscular he was, me and my other friend said "We're muscular too!" due to our competitive male nature. So he felt out stomach which were pretty hard since we were just skinny little boys, We felt his and he wasn't muscular like he said, his guy was really squishy. We told him he had no abs so he lifted up his shirt and he had these three big blubber rolls, at home I remember eating allot of food and hoping I would magicaly get fat right then and there. I didn't know anything about it, in my 10 year old mind Eating food made you fat, that was that. But I just felt realy bad with my body (Not realizing I was just full) and thought I had actually gotten fat, so I kindof developed a minor eating disorder for that week. I forgot about that untill grade six when some kid showed me his belly (No idea why) but I remember that fattening desire. I kindof tried to gain a bit but stoped untill grade 7. I was in middle school, we were on a school caming trip, me and my friends were in a tent (2 different friends). Somehow we were talking about six packs, and we showed eachother our abs, mine were the best and this other guy also had three big blubber rolls. I then wished that it was him who had the six pack and me the rolls. I then turned to the internet, at first I didn't find much untill I found this story about some guy who was gaining weight. From there I still didn't know what to look for, untill I found a yahoo group called 'College Guts'. I loved it and got a yahoo account to sign up for all of them. I got more into it when I went to my fat friends house who was a little crazy and lifted up his shirt and shook his fat. Soon I somehow learned about gainers and found bellybuilders and FatPeace. I got most into it when I was 14 and discovered Fat Nats, I've been gaining seriously on and off ever since.

I don't think it's a fetish, I mean people who diet to be skinny don't have a fetish so why do we aspiring fatties have one? Because it's not normal? Hmm, assuming I know I want to gain... I've figured I'd want to be somewhere between 240 and 275 pounds. So I'm 145 now... that'd mean a 95 pound minimum. But part of the thing is doing it slowly you build up the muscle to carry it around (notice that most fat people have fairly broad shoulders). Assuming it would be the same as having done it the 'natural way', I'd say 95 pounds up to 240, and then decide from there whether to do 10, 20, 30 more, or stay the same.

Or I could put on, say, 30 pounds of muscle. Hmm. :)

Why a big gut?

There are so many answers. As human beings, we naturally seek ways to simplify our lives. We seek comfort. Our bodies store fat during times of plenteousness, which prepares ourselves for times of lack. It's a biological part of self preservation.

Looking at it from a completely different angle, we see women as mediators between babies and men. Women are in the middle. They are both attracted to babies AND men. THINK A MOMENT of a baby. A baby is very soft and flabby. THROUGH THE EYES OF A WOMAN, what looks cute on a baby also looks good on a MAN. I have had two women tell me this. A bald head is another attraction for most women. Well, I want to be fat all over. That is probably what I'm gona be, sinse I'm a girl. Having a gut would be good, though. I think a big gut (and general fatness) makes people look important, confident and sort of intimidating:D. Big men are subconciously more trusted in business than thin men (I'm not sure if it's the same with women). Also, not many girls would want to be big, and the female beauty ideals today make me sick. I just don't want to conform to them anymore. Other than that, I just think fat is sexy:).

Please, don't be skinny. When you walk into a room you make no appearance. But for now (until you fatten-up) at least you can do is WALK SLOWLY. You make more of an appearance that way. Well, I'm not sure if my belly that I have was a conscious choice I made. I used to be quite skinny when I was young. Then, around the 3rd or 4th grade, I got fatter. I didn't really do anything to stop it, although I really didn't like it at the time (other kids can be so cruel).

Sometime in middle school (about the 8th grade), I decided to embrace it a little more. I was round 180-190 at the time. I stopped watching what I ate, and didn't really do anything physical (going into high school helped there, as I was busy with school work).

During high school, I gained close to 20 lbs a year to my current weight of 285. However, I'm finding that my belly gets in the way of things I like to do, and it's not all that helpful in attracting a mate ;). Lucky for me, I have a girl who seems to like me just the way I am :cool:

Hay guys! I am new to this forum but I already feel very at home. My whole life I have been OBSESSED with being OBESE! When I was little, I would only eat candy and cake, and was a pretty big kid! There's also lots of little things that make it kind of hot, like when I sit up in bed in the morning and throw my covers off, I love seeing my gut sticking out. The little surprises like finding out an old shirt no longer fits. That kind of stuff. It's all good, but I think the overall experience is what I like best.

Hi! Well im 17 (coming up 18 :cool:), and I dont really know exactly why i like being fat but i've always been a little chubby for quite a few years now and ive just got bigger and bigger bit by bit. I dont eat deliberately for the sake of gaining but i eat whatever i like whenever i like so i never really lose weight :cool:

Why do you want a gut in the first place?I have always wanted to have a big gut for as long as I can remember -started secretly padding at about the age of five.
How serious are you really? (come on now...be honest) Have managed to gain 200 lbs since I graduated from High School, so I guess that's fairly serious.
What the hottest reason for having a big gut hanging from your bod? I love the way it looks and feels and moves. I enjoy being the biggest guy in the room - or being "too big" for places (like theatre seats, airplane seats, restaurant booths, and so on).

Do you like gaining with other gainers? Yes, I prefer it. The mutual encouragement is great.
Do you like to show off your gut in public? (no shirt or very tight shirts) Yes, I wear tight shirts and cinch in my belt under my belly. I always tuck in my shirts to emphasize the overhang of my belly.

-i hated the pressures of being "fit" and i just gave up. it seemed more fitting for me to enjoy myself eating than stress my whole life away.

-i am very serious to an extent. i have gone up and down in seriousness recently, but for now i feel very serious.

-its different than looking like the "cookie cutter" average person. i the love the feeling of the fat and having it on me, and it looks great on others as well. its a badge of honor for gainers who dont care what others think.

-i'm about 240lbs now... lets say 350lbs, which is double my "official" starting weight.

-id love, but i dont. cause of my size in comparison to height, i cant wear tight clothes cause they'd be up past my belly button or even my moobs. as much as i'd love to, i cannot all that often. at places like beaches or pools, i show it for all to see, but i rarely ever go.
maybe once it gets warmer i'll mow my lawn shirtless...

I am turned on by being fat and getting fatter, I assume that on this site that's pretty common! I also like the way fat on my body feels, especially new fat (I can feel new fat more easily). Finally I just really like eating and feeling stuffed with food and a side effect is a bigger gut.

When I'm gaining I am very serious about it (don't know if that's the right word for such a perverse activity tho). However, I also go thru lengthy periods when I'm not feeling the urge to gain so much, during which time I often lose weight. If not for that I expect I'd weigh 400 lbs or more by now.

I think it's sexy! But on a deeper level, for me it's tied up with feelings of shame and humiliation. Being fat is a SERIOUS transgression in our society. If you are fat, the general feeling is that it is evidence of your 'sin', your weakness and self-indulgence, and the fat is your 'punishment', sitting out there where everyone can see it and judge you for your bad behavior.

I often wonder whether I'd feel the same way about being fat if this element of shame wasn't operative (as in most other human societies pre-20th century). Is it a simple physical attraction around which I've built a psychological narrative? Or do the emotions come first and cause the attraction? Kind of a chicken-or-egg question.

300-350 lbs is probably the most attractive weight (to me) for someone my height (6' 1"). Over that still looks good to me but doesn't really add anything.

I've never experienced that, at least not explicitly and in-person. I'm older than a lot of you, there was no worldwide web when I was college-aged. Until I got online in my mid-20s I truly believed that I was the only person in the world who felt this way (please don't laugh...) That was kind of lonely!

Yes, when I'm in the mood. I have a bunch of smaller sized clothes that I wear when I want to 'make a display of myself.' My favorite is a 'Jelly Belly' T-shirt (from the jellybean company) that is size L (I wear XXL normally). That's always good for attracting some rude stares.
