I just washed my cellphone and iPod shuffle! My phone is taken care of, but my MOTHER -insert hate here- didn't get me any insurance for my iPod!
What do I do to save it!?

- Don't switch it on. Take battery out and replace it with a new one if you can. Leave it for a week.
- Pray.
- Don't switch it on.
Otherwise, it's short circuited itself already.

that really sucks... is it the old or new shuffle, it's easier to replace the battery on one

Oh god, I've killed it.
I tried to see if it still worked right away.

That sucks :/. For any chance of it surviving you really should have left it to dry on its own for a couple days.

Yea, but apparently, it doesn't cover accidental damage, just hardware damage.

thats right. It would also be very hard for you to dismantle it and let it dry, cause they're so small.. you'd probably break it if you tried to open it.

House insurance? Try claiming on that, I've never taken out insurance on small electronic items like that, you just either be careful (ie not stupid) with them or claim on your house insurance if your that desperate.

There's still a chance that it might work if you let it dry very thoroughly, i.e. leave it for a couple of weeks and try turning it on again.

Yeah, and actually putting it in airing cupboard/linen closet, whatever you yanks call it :p, and let it dry out on a towel for 24 hours, that often works, but if you tried turning it on already then it might be dead.
