New poll! Are you left or right handed?
I thought it'd be fun to know. :p

I can do alot of stuff with both my hands.
But when I'm writing I'm completely left-handed, with my right it's just terrible...

I'm right handed. I almost can't do anything with my left.

I, like gooseface, am right handed and sometimes try to use my left. However, I've started to practice more with my left hand. I'm hoping to be able to write equally as well with my left hand as I can with my right. Like my sister. She's ambidextrous, but only because she practiced for so long with her left hand.

I am left handed. People always seem to be supprised by that, even when they've known me for a while.

Let's see... I write with my left hand, and I eat with my left hand. Other than that, I can use pretty much either hand.

I've tried writing with my right hand... it was absolutely hideous...

They do, don't they? xD
I was having coffe with a friend once, she looked simply appalled when she noticed I used my left hand to stir.

Why does it even surprise people?

tsk tsk

So for the distribution seems about normal... about 75% of the general population are right handed, about 25% left... is about what this poll has come out so far, I imagine the more people vote the closer it will reach that.

I write with my left hand, but I can still write equally as good with my right. Piano has really helped me balance them.

So I'm Ambidextrious.

From Wikipedia:

In 1977, a study suggested that approximately 15 to 25% of the adult population was left-handed. Studies indicate that left-handedness is more common in males than females. Left-handedness, in comparison to the general population, also appears to occur more frequently in identical twins, and several groups of neurologically disordered individuals (such as people suffering from epilepsy, Down's Syndrome, autism, mental retardation and dyslexia). Statistically, the identical twin of a left-handed person has a 76% chance of being left-handed, identifying the cause(s) as partly genetic and partly environmental. Also, people of South Asian, Eastern European and Southeast Asian descent are more likely to be left-handed than any other ethnic group in the world, while people of Western European, Northern European, and African descent are less likely to be left-handed.

i thought that was pretty interesting, i also read recently that the percent of left-handed people in the world is rising

btw, i'm entirely right handed, my left hand sucks

Left: Opening doors, typing the letters ASDFGQWERTYZXCVB, using a fork, flicking a light switch... those are the things I can think of off the top of my head

Right: Writing, Typing the letters YUIOPHJKLNM, using a knife and spoon, holding objects, opening cupboards, using my DS Stylus, etc..

You use your right and left hands for lots of things but I generally write with my right hand :D
