I was just wondering how many people would want to/do gain with friends or prefer to just gain on their own..
I personally wish I had someone I knew in real life to gain with; I probably wouldn't run track if that were the case.. but then again, I wouldn't know.. haha.. so what do you guys think?

Well, its so rare I would think that its almost a near-myth, apart from meetups through sites and that. For me personally however, it wouldnt make a difference.

Yeah.. it's a shame.. I wish it'd be possible for someone I went to school with to be on here.. but then again.. no one lives in Wisconsin -_-". Then again, who knows? This whole thing is mysterious that way.. ooo.. *makes odd hand gestures*

I actually know of two other gainers at my school. I'm very lucky, especially considering I wasn't really looking for them.

I think having a friend to gain with would be cool. It would certainly be a decent motivator at the least.

one of my best friends is a gainer but he gained all his weight before i started gaining. his gain was actually the reason i started gaining in the first place.
he was gone one summer, for the whole summerand came back a lot fatter. he told he that he liked being fat and he was going to gain weight on purpose. i thought it was really weird at the time but then i started doing it and reeeeeally liked watching my body change and become round and fat. he doesnt gain now anymore. he just wants to stay like he is.

Gaining with a friend would be particularly encouraging but it's safe to assume it will never actually happen. How grim. :P

I would love to have a friend to gain with. Some belly rubs would be exchanged, and it would definitely be an inspiration.

I'd definitely gain with a friend if I had one that would do that.

Too right..
Someone to tell you it's alright to do it.
I first started gaining years ago (but didn't know it was called gaining at the time) when a friend told me it was alright to have a little extra weight on me and that girls might like it more.. and he said that I looked better when I had put on a little weight.. (all be it that that was around 15 - 20 kg that I put on!!)
I put on a little weight because I decided my mate was right, then discovered that I liked it so I purposely put on a little more weight.. and that was it, went from around 68 kg (or so) underweight for my height)) to around 85 kg (bordering on overweight, which would be 88) and felt good with that having gained that much.
I then decided that I still liked it and put on another 5 kg and watched my gut grow from 36/37 to 40/41 inches..
So yeah, having a friend to gain with would be good, or if nothing else a great encourager! Could give me the courage to go further forward.. but then again at the moment I don't need that courage, I'm going for it anyway. ;)
So in essence, yes, if I had a friend to gain with, I would..
And if I had a friend who was actively an encourager, I would..

I've seen alot of couples gain weight together unintentionally. I think it is a combination of being together and going out to eat or ording out alot. I think having someone else to encourage/motivate you would make you gain alot more than if you were on your own.
