I need to find a solution for my room that will both decorate it and make it easier to keep my stuff.

It's really small, I don't have a closet, and I don't have that much wall-space either. My main problems are that it's WAY easier to just leave my clothes on the floor than EVER put them in my dresser. Even clean clothes just sit in a basket until I wear them all. Also, I have every flat surface covered with just random stuff.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm going to get my kiddie books off the shelf under my bed [I have a loft bed] and get a chair/large ottoman with storage inside. Luckily, I finally got my clothes situation under control [I used to have 2 dressers o.o] a few years ago.

Here are pictures of it CLEAN [It goes back to a mess within minutes of me getting ready for the day/for work/for bed]. I no longer have my bras and swimsuits hanging in the open, and I have a black curtain instead of the beige ones.

I have a lot of the same problems. Two dressers, don't really use them. I have a captains bed with three drawers. Don't use them either. I leave my clean clothes in my basket until I wear them all. Messy clothes on the floor. I have a closet though. Anyways.... I have a bit of an idea.

Make major piles. One pile for the dirty clothes in the corner, or get a second basket. A pile for shoes when you don't have them on the rack. Right by the clothes. A pile for old things to look through in another corner, and remember to actually look through them. Don't let the piles get mixed together. With the shoes and clothes, just keep it separated enough so that the shoes don't get buried by the clothes. If you have to, put up some small shelves where you actually do have wall space.

Now if only I can do just that...

I'd like to get rid of the clothes piles completely.

My room is nice and clean (plenty of room for clothes), but my other room (My Computer Room/Study) I am about to completely makeover.. new carpet, my new iMac, new desks n that. I'm having to sell so much stuff though that is just the stuff I don't use anymore.

My Tax Refund is paying for most of it.

I wish I could get a new bed...one that doesn't look so kid-ish.

The things that make me keep that bed I have now, even though it's like a big khaki elephant on one side of my room, is that I have A LOT of stuff stored in it and my mom's stupid smelly dog can't get on it. Just even the fact that the dog can't get on it is a very good reason to keep it.

I should have a decent tax refund this year. Last year I only got $17
