Used to be things called Gainercons years ago---I think they had a handful of em in different places and then quit because of no participation and being a money-losing event.
How about now? You'd figure ten years on, the gainer world would have grown sufficiently to merit another attempt at a National Gainercon.
Anybody got any info?

Thats a good question! I was also wondering if there were any gainer events happening .
I really want to meet some fat guys who I can take off my shirt in front of and bulge my belly like crazy in front of.
I hope there is one near the Dallas area (hopefully in fairly close range).

As most of you on here wil either have heard of, known from your own experiences, or are in the process of finding out, Gainers and their associated subculture are looked upon with derision by the remainder of the chub and chaser community in the same way that community is seen with a similar derision by what is referred to as ``mainstream Gay society''.
So it is no surprise then when individuals who are out of the Gainer closet attend these types of chub events which are non-Gainer, that many Gainers feel left out, ignored or actively shunned by the exremely cliqueish chub community.
This is one of a few reasons why, after many years of being comped into these affairs, and then volunteering as a staff during, why I would never recommend any out-of-the-closet Gainer man attend any non-Gainer events.
Most non-Gainer events are in my experience, just trying to pick a man's pocket so that he can spend four days being made fun of, crowded into a motel room with other similar men unable to fit into facilities to accomplish the most mundane tasks, and have the rest of his time being made a fool of.
Which is why when I ask about Gainer Events I do in fact mean Gainer Events, not your basic chub-and-chaser events for the reasons stated above.
If anybody goes and actually comes home feeling their money and time was well-spent, please post here. We would all like to hear it. It would certainly be a nice change of pace.
