I was just surfing the internet and I discovered the site, alexa.com. That web site is updated daily on how many visits does all the web sites. I was fooling on there and I discovered that this site is ranked at 3,999,246 in all time web traffic. I just thought that web site is interesting and I thought you all might want to play around on there.

We are up from about 5,000,000 a few months ago.

This is probably the most active gainer site aside from the pornographic ones.

Porn is always going to be more active than regular sites.

That's both a sad thing and a happy thing. Sad thing because it's only one of a very few, but good because we've made it along this long, and we may be one of the very last at some point.

I just hope that gainer sites don't keep going down in number. They really need to start making some more.

They really need to start making some more.I'd agree that it'd be nice to see some more "solid" sites about, but have to say I'm not entirely unhappy the total count is down a bit.. A lot of the sites that are no longer around only really served to "dilute the pool" rather than really add anything to the mix. (Not referring to places like Nat's and Gain[e]{0,1}rWeb, but to yahoo groups type deals etc.)

Its very risky to make them, unless you own the server or its on something reliable.
Many Free Webspace Providers will just remove anything thats reported without even looking at it.

I was actually talking about the sites like GainrWeb and Nats (which is down now 4 times?). Eh. At least we're still here. so that's a good thing. :)
